Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with representatives of FC Pahonia in Warsaw. The meeting was attended by the club’s co-founder, Ilya Shyla, and Belarusian football player and international-class Master of Sports, Vital Haiduchyk.
The discussion focused on Belarusian sports in exile, the role of sports initiatives in bringing the Belarusian community together, and the current challenges facing the club.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Belarusians in exile need not only cultural and educational projects but also places where people can gather, communicate, build community, and feel part of something bigger. FC Pahonia plays exactly this role.
The club has plans to open a youth football academy. Young Belarusians should have the opportunity to play sports in their own community, make friends, hear the Belarusian language, and maintain a connection to their culture. I sincerely hope this project will continue to grow and receive the support it deserves”.
Particular attention was given to infrastructure needs and opportunities for further development. Among the club’s main priorities are access to training facilities, additional sources of funding, and support in establishing contacts with potential partners.
FC Pahonia continues to grow and remains open to cooperation. For partnership inquiries, please contact partners@bkspahonia.com.
