On March 30, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya held a meeting in Vilnius with former political prisoners who were released and deported to Lithuania on March 19 as part of the release of 250 people.
The meeting was also attended by a representative of the Volnyja initiative and Viachaslau Zhukau of A Country to Live In Foundation.
The parties discussed:
- health conditions after imprisonment and the need for medical assistance;
- post-release adaptation, including documents, housing, and employment;
- support for affected families.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “It is important for me to see you free and to have the opportunity to hear from each and every one of you. You have gone through extreme hardships. We must do everything possible to ensure that you feel care and safety and that you can recover as quickly as possible and return to a full life”.
