On February 11, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya visited the Mikola Ravienski Belarusian School of Arts in Warsaw. The school currently serves around 200 students each week and employs 12 teachers, including presenter Aliaksandr Zhdanovich, widely known as Maliavanych.
Director Halina Kazimirouskaya gave Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya a tour, followed by a meeting with staff, parents, and students. The children prepared a musical surprise – a choral greeting that became a particularly touching moment of the visit.
Participants of the meeting discussed how the school has grown significantly over the past four years, becoming popular and in high demand within the Belarusian community. They also addressed the need to expand the premises, as demand for classes continues to rise.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya expressed special gratitude to the Head of the Old Town Cultural Center in Warsaw, Marcin Jasiński, who has supported the school’s activities for several years. His assistance has been crucial, enabling the school to grow and operate at its current scale.
More information about the school is available on its website.
