Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “On this significant day, as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Baltic Way, I recall with great respect the remarkable act of unity and desire for freedom that united the people of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in 1989. Your courageous step became a symbol of resistance against dictatorship and an inspiration for many other nations, including Belarusians.
The struggle for freedom is a path that requires courage, solidarity, and faith in the future. Just as you did then, Belarusians continue today to fight for their right to freedom and independence. We learn from you to stand shoulder to shoulder, with hope in our hearts and determination in our souls, believing in our strength and uniting to achieve our goal.
Thank you for your example and support. May our nations always remain united in the pursuit of freedom, justice, and dignity”.
