During the European Political Community Summit in the United Kingdom, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “The Prime Minister of Slovenia and I discussed the legalization of stay in the country for Belarusians. I thanked him for the decision to issue alien passports and discussed the issues faced by the Belarusian diaspora, such as the problems of opening bank accounts. I also mentioned the Belarusian community in Slovenia and the People’s Embassy. I am grateful to Slovenia for being supportive on many issues and setting an example for other countries”.
The parties also discussed potential campaigns in the UN Security Council, as Slovenia is currently a member, and joint events during the UN General Assembly.
