Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Let me thank everyone who participated in the Coordination Council election — whether as a voter or a candidate, despite the pressure and repression from the regime. I hope the renewed Coordination Council will become a platform allowing us to align strategies and hold discussions and consultations between various representatives of democratic forces and civil society. And I am pleased that people with different views and positions have been elected.
I would like to see the Coordination Council not as a platform for resolving disputes — although perhaps this cannot be entirely avoided — but as an effective body for coordination and cooperation.
To change the situation in Belarus, return home, and free our loved ones, we need everyone to get involved. I intend to meet with the elected delegates soon to discuss how to organize our collaboration”.
