The 55th Congress of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies focused on decolonization. During the event, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor on Education and Science, Tatsiana Shchyttsova, spoke at a roundtable discussion held on the occasion of the change in the editorial team of “East European Politics and Societies and Cultures”.
“The fact that I was invited to speak for Belarus had significant symbolic meaning. It signaled special attention to our country. This is why, for me, this discussion was an excellent space to highlight Belarus as a topic for scientific research. Therefore, I encourage our researchers to submit their articles to this journal – they are truly awaited”, noted Tatsiana Shchyttsova.
Another important meeting, as Ms. Shchyttsova explained, was the roundtable discussion “Belarusian Diaspora in the USA: History and Future”. During the dialogue, the participants discussed steps to hold more panels on Belarus during the next congress.
