Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: «Dear friends, let me sincerely wish you a Happy Radaunitsa! This day has always been important for us Belarusians, who know so well how much family support means. Today, as we remember our ancestors, we also feel as if they are alive and present with us. We adorn their images in our memory and share our joys and news with them.
Not everyone today can visit the graves of their relatives and loved ones. This is truly painful as the regime tries to deprive us of a sense of belonging. We cannot tidy up the graves, bring flowers, or touch the crosses… But despite the hardships, our sky is always with us, and our loved ones are in our hearts. We will persevere!
Happy holiday!»
