In an interview with Radio Svaboda (RFE/RL Belarusian service), the Belarusian leader shared her views on which international visits and meetings she considers were significant in 2023:
“I would highlight my meeting with Maia Sandu and the strengthening of relations with Moldova. For the first time, a CIS country invited me and our democratic forces for a visit. Also, the Strategic Dialogue with the USA was a very important event, as well as the participation in the Davos Forum, the Summit of the European Political Community to which I was invited along with 30 prime ministers and presidents, the Council of Europe Summit, and the NATO Summit”.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya emphasized that every meeting is important. She also revealed how many days of rest she had in 2023:
“I took two weeks of vacation in the summer with the children. I practically had no weekdays off during the year. Whenever I get a day off by chance, I spend it at home with the children, taking care of household chores”.
