Aleš Opata will represent the interests of the Czech Republic in Lithuania and maintain ties with Belarus’ democratic forces.
During the conversation, the Belarusian leader and Aleš Opata discussed issues related to the legalization of stay for Belarusians in Czechia, including issuing alien passports to Belarusian citizens who cannot return home. Such a passport has already been obtained by a young Belarusian girl, Varia, who is helping Belarusian volunteer fighters in Ukraine.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also invited the Ambassador to join the Day of Solidarity with Belarus on November 12 and proposed holding joint events in Vilnius.
