  • Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with Foreign Minister of Poland Radosław Sikorski

    The meeting took place during the Delphi Economic Forum in Greece. Mr. Sikorski and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya discussed the list of proposals prepared by the United Transitional Cabinet and the National Anti-Crisis Management

    In particular, the conversation focused on:

    • The military and political situation in Belarus, the dictator’s recent threats towards Poland, and supplies of weapons by the regime to the Russian army.
    • Problems with obtaining Polish visas experienced by Belarusians within the country, as well as by Belarusians residing in third countries.
    • Expanding the practice of granting political asylum to Belarusians who cannot return to their home country.
    • Continued support by the Polish government for the Belsat TV channel, independent media, and civil society.
    • Strengthening sanctions pressure and restricting transit of sanctioned goods across the Belarusian–Polish border.
    • Efforts to hold the regime accountable.
    • Possible steps to achieve the release of political prisoners. The parties separately discussed the situation of Andrzej Poczobut and the death of Aliaksandr Kuliniсh.
    • Formalization of relations with the United Transitional Cabinet; establishment of an interdepartmental working group on the issues of Belarus and Belarusians.
    • Organization of a Polish–Belarusian conference named after Tadevush Kastsiushka to strengthen Poland–Belarus relations and develop a strategy vis-a-vis Belarus.
    • Participation of the democratic forces in the EU’s Eastern Partnership, as well as in other international formats.
