Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Yesterday, the Coordination Council elected its Speaker and Vice-Speaker. Let me congratulate Anzhalika Melnikava and Stanislava Hlinnik on their new positions. I hope their work will facilitate quality communication and productive work within the Coordination Council.
The Coordination Council is an important part of Belarus’ democratic forces, a representative body of civil society and political organizations. It is a platform where politicians and activists can discuss and find solutions to important issues for Belarusians: the release of political prisoners, assistance to Belarusians inside the country and abroad, accountability for the regime, reform development, and vision of a new Belarus.
I would like the Coordination Council to respond to the demands of Belarusian society, represent and defend their interests, and ensure that the opinions of everyone are considered and heard.
I invite all delegates of the Coordination Council to join the New Belarus Conference to discuss where we are now and develop a strategy for 2025 together”.
