A delegation of ABBA, the Association of Belarusian Business Abroad, in partnership with a delegation of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s team, will take part in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. The delegation intends to raise existing problems of Belarusian business, including visa issues, discrimination, access to banking services, financing, and support programs, legal status, etc.
On January 19, the Forum will hold a panel discussion of Belarusian businesses and economic prospects for the people of Belarus. This will be the first-ever discussion at the Forum dedicated entirely to Belarus. Representatives of the ABBA delegation will present reports on the state of the Belarusian business community, outline the main problems, and propose ways to address them.
ABBA will collect and study Belarusian entrepreneurs’ appeals about discrimination to raise the most frequent issues before foreign partners, representatives of government bodies, and business institutions.
