The parliamentary friendship group for Belarus will protect the rights of Belarusians in Latvia, prevent discrimination and help with legalization. The representative of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya for the constitutional reform and parliamentary cooperation Anatoli Liabedzka said that the friendship group for Belarus has done a lot for Belarusians already at the stage of formation. Moreover, thanks to the parliamentary group, on June 8-9 Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will have a working visit to Riga.
“Now there is not only the desire, but also the political will to work together. It will be a time of active meetings, consultations at the highest state level and, of course, discussion of specific plans for work and cooperation. I want to say to the deputies of the Saeima, who are members of the group “For a Democratic Belarus“ – “Sveiki! Let's work together so that Belarus and Latvia will always be both neighbours and friends”.
