Today, March 20, in Vilnius, the Kalinowski Forum started with a flower-laying ceremony at the burial site of Kastus Kalinowski. The Forum is organized by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in partnership with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Office. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, diplomats of the United States, Poland, Ukraine, France, and representatives of the government and the Seimas of Lithuania, joined the ceremony.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Today, we are all continuing the legacy of Kastus Kalinowski, who is called the father of the Belarusian statehood. What Belarusians and Ukrainians are fighting for is their nation, independence, language, and culture. It is no coincidence that the Belarusian unit now bravely fighting in Ukraine bears Kastus Kalinowski's name. May heroes like Kastus Kalinowski keep inspiring us in these dark times of war”.
