Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Diplomatic Advisor, Dzianis Kuchynski, is on a visit to the United States. In Washington, he met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Eastern Europe, Christopher Smith:

I also thanked Mr. Smith for the recent productive call between Ms. Tsikhanouskaya and the newly appointed US Special Envoy to Belarus, Mr. John Coale.
I also expressed deep appreciation to Mr. Coale and to the entire administration of President Trump for their consistent attention to Belarus – particularly for the efforts aimed at securing the release of 1,300 political prisoners in Belarus”.
