Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Advisor for the Constitutional Reform and Interparliamentary Cooperation, Anatoli Liabedzka, met with the Chairman of the Lithuanian Seimas delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Emanuelis Zingeris.
“With Mr. Emanuelis Zingeris, we discussed the current PACE session. The meeting of the Political Committee of the Assembly will feature a delegation from the Belarusian parties liquidated by the regime. The fact that the PACE invites representatives of opposition parties, not of the regime, testifies to Strasbourg’s commitment to assessing the situation in Belarus.
During the conversation, we also discussed the possibility of extending the validity period of residence permits for Belarusians from one year to three years, as well as holding a roundtable discussion dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy in the Minsk ghetto”, said Mr. Liabedzka.
