Here are the main theses and proposals of his speech:
- A proposal to Members of the European Parliament to support the petition by Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and other leaders to the heads of EU member states and governments, EU leaders, and the European Parliament to consider applications from Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia. It is very important to have a paragraph on the European prospects for Belarus in the final document.
- Facilitating the opening of the office of the Democratic Forces in Brussels. By the decision of the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, premises for the hub of Ukrainian organizations were allocated. It would be good for Belarusians to have a permanent place for systemic work in Brussels as well.
- The creation of an active, effective network of deputy groups For Democratic Belarus in national parliaments of the Euro-Atlantic space. There are many lines of activity here, in particular, the organization of internships for young Belarusians. In fact, this supports the creation of a personnel roster for the new Belarus. Mr. Liabedzka also raised the issue of political guardianship over political prisoners. There are hundreds of guardians, but thousands of prisoners.
- An agreement between Ukrainian and political elites on common joint appeals to Ukrainians and Belarusians. Without this, there are real threats to the escalation of confrontation in Belarusian-Ukrainian relations.
- Do not close Europe to Belarusans, do not discredit the Belarusan business in Europe by the color of the passport.
