On Ukraine's Independence Day, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya addressed the Ukrainian people:
“Dear Ukrainians,
President Zelenskyy!
It has been a year and a half since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. All this time, you have been defending your independence with weapons in your hands and fire in your hearts. We bow our heads to your courage and persistence. Your fight for freedom inspires the whole world.
I am proud to see Belarusians helping you in this fight. I am proud to see the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment and our volunteer warriors accomplishing feat after feat. I am proud to see our volunteers rebuilding cities and sharing information with the Belarusian Hajun project. I am proud to see our doctors saving lives. I am proud to see all the free Belarusians donating to the Ukrainian army and bringing Ukraine closer to victory.
We will restore good relations between our nations, and bring those who dragged our country into this war to account.
Dear Ukrainians, I wish you to celebrate the next Independence Day in a peaceful and free Ukraine.
Glory to Ukraine!
Long live Belarus!”
