Last month, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s Office launched an anonymous online survey to see the opinions of Belarusians on the work of democratic forces: what they are dissatisfied with, which fields of work they support, and what they would like to improve.
The Office is sincerely grateful to all Belarusians who participated in the survey and shared their opinions. It is important for us to receive not only gratitude but also advice and criticism to make our work more effective and responsive to people's demands. We will analyze all suggestions and take action on the most relevant requests.
What do Belarusians think about the work of the democratic forces?

Most Belarusians are satisfied with the work of democratic forces in the following fields:
– Representation of Belarus in the international arena;
– Efforts to hold the regime accountable;
– Protection of the interests of Belarusians abroad;
– Building strategic partnerships for the inclusion of Belarus into the European integration;
– Direct contacts with key international politicians.
Issues Belarusians are more often dissatisfied with include:
– Lack of understanding of issues faced by people in Belarus, insufficient communication with Belarusians within the country;
– Passive attitude towards a scenario of change involving armed resistance to the regime;
– Lack of transparency, recognition of mistakes, and mechanisms for resolving conflicts within the democratic forces;
– Weak efforts in responding to emergencies such as the deployment of the Wagner PMC and nuclear weapons in Belarus;
– Insufficient awareness and educational campaigns.
Belarusians expect that democratic forces will put more effort in:
– More intensive work and communication with the people within Belarus;
– Strengthening interaction with the armed structures of independent Belarus in Ukraine;
– Preserving Belarusian national identity and strengthening cultural initiatives;
– Developing reforms in a number of key areas: economy, education, medicine, etc., and bringing them to public discussion.
