“I congratulate Andrei Yahorau and Alena Zhyvahlod on being elected to such responsible positions as Speaker and Vice-Speaker of the Coordination Council. We have been working with Andrei and Alena for a long time, and I am confident that their energy, experience, and constructive approach will help the Coordination Council work effectively and all of us achieve a democratic transition in Belarus.
I look forward to seeing the Coordination Council complete its reform and commence its full-fledged work. I hope for close cooperation between representatives of democratic forces and civil initiatives.
