Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will attend the Forum alongside leaders from 52 countries and about 600 CEOs of international companies and corporations.
The Belarusian leader will speak twice within the core program of the Forum.
- On January 17, she will join the session entitled “In Defense of Europe” alongside the Presidents of Poland, Lithuania, and Northern Macedonia, as well as the Foreign Minister of Spain.
- On January 19, Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will join Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to address women's leadership. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will talk about the role of women in Belarus’ protests and civil society.
As part of the Forum's non-core program, a discussion will be held on January 19 on the Belarusian businesses and economic prospects for the people of Belarus. This is, perhaps, the first time in history that Davos hosts a discussion entirely devoted to Belarus. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will share the democratic forces’ vision of the development program and support for the private sector of Belarus and future economic reforms.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will also hold a number of bilateral meetings, including with the Prime Minister of Belgium, the leadership of the European Commission, the Foreign Ministers of Spain and the Netherlands, the Speaker of the Swiss Parliament, famous financier Bill Browder, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and others.
Interviews are scheduled with the Financial Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, AP, AFP, BBC, Al Jazeera, DW, and others.
