During the visit, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and representatives of the United Transitional Cabinet met with the Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship Artur Kosicki and Voivode Bohdan Paszkowski.
The discussions focused on Belarusan lyceums, whose special status should be preserved, and where the final exam should remain in the Belarusian language. The issue of Belarusian schools in Białystok and lessons of Belarusian for Belarusian children was raised.
The Belarusian delegation also met with the Mayor of Białystok, Tadeusz Truskolarski, to discuss the launch of a Center of Belarusian Culture in Białystok and a Belarusian Studies Center at the University of Białystok.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Pavel Latushka, and Alina Koushyk took part in the opening ceremony of the Free Belarus Square in Bialystok. Protest rallies against the dictator and his regime’s actions have been held in that very place since 2020.
