On the margins of the NATO summit, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn. During the meeting, they discussed the international response to the death of political prisoner Ales Pushkin and ways to bring the regime to justice through international mechanisms and courts.
Mr. Asselborn and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya discussed the expected outcomes of the NATO Summit and the need for a dedicated discussion of Belarus. The Belarusian leader thanked the Minister for Luxembourg's resolute positions at the recent meetings of EU foreign ministers. Luxembourg called for increased support for democratic Belarus and pressure on the Lukashenka regime for repressions against Belarusians and complicity in Russian aggression against Ukraine.
