Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked Mr. Kox for the adoption of the PACE resolution on the issues faced by Belarusians in exile. She welcomed that the resolution can make life easier for tens of thousands of people who find themselves in a difficult situation with visas, residence permits, and bank accounts, as well as access to health care and the labor market.
Mr. Kox and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya discussed how to formalize the participation of Belarusian political groups and parties in the work of the PACE so that they could receive the status of observers or special invitees and take part in the work of various committees.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya called for opposing the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus in every possible way and demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops. The parties discussed possible steps in this direction. They also discussed bringing the regime to justice through the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, as well as the instruments of universal jurisdiction.
