Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with Paul Galles, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) appointed to prepare a report on “Addressing the specific challenges faced by the Belarusians in exile.” The meeting was yet another step in the systematic work to address the problems faced by Belarusians who had to leave their homeland.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the legalization of Belarusians’ stay abroad and the potential of Council of Europe member states to address problems in this area. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked Mr. Galles for his work and willingness to help Belarusians.
