The call was organized by the Honest People initiative. The officials who took part in it entered through the anonymous and secure Telegram bot. The call was also joined by Alexander Dabravolski, S. Tsikhanouskaya’s advisor, and moderated by Elena Zhivoglod, coordinator of Honest People.
The participants of the call discussed:
- the Peramoga Plan and the officials’ membership in it;
- internal economic pressure on the regime;
- the possible circumstances under which the formation of an alternative government is necessary;
- cooperation with countries other than the US and European states;
- the overall strategy, the transition period, as well as the vision for the new Belarus;
- sanctions and the need to close loopholes;
- preservation of Belarus’ sovereignty;
- formats for regular cooperation.
They also touched upon the so-called “referendum”. The officials actually referred to it as a so-called “referendum”, since it does not reflect the interests of the people. Alexander Dabravolski told about how the democratic forces joined efforts to work on the common strategy. He added that the Peramoga plan can be launched if the society is ready to take active action after coming to the polling stations to invalidate the ballots.
During the call, officials asked if they can join the Peramoga plan. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya answered: ”It is paramount to join right now. BYPOL needs to assess the situation in advance to understand what exactly the members of the Plan can do”.
