Many Belarusians celebrate Christmas on December 25. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya wished them all a Merry Christmas in a video address:
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “You know, today, throughout the world, there is a tradition of sharing a piece of bread, passing it from hand to hand. In this way, people express support and care, share warmth and love. But we, Belarusians, selflessly share all of this not only on Christmas but every day, through letters, phone calls, hugs, and kind words.
Dear friends, today I want to wish all of you peace, kindness, and benignity that won’t let the evil possess our hearts.
Merry Christmas to all of you!”
