Within the World Economic Forum in Davos, the national delegations organize a number of meetings and events devoted to their countries. This year the Ukrainian delegation was represented by the President’s Office, the Verkhovna Rada, politicians, and entrepreneurs. At the invitation of Ukrainians, the Belarusian leader joined several Ukrainian meetings and events, where she had a chance for informal communication with Ukrainian politicians.
On Thursday, January 19, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya attended the Ukrainian Breakfast, featuring a video address by President Zelenskyy and also attended by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, and other politicians.
The helicopter crash, which killed the leadership of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, happened at the time of the events. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya expressed her condolences to the people of Ukraine.
