Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed Belarus' role in the war in Ukraine with the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and his deputy Wendy Sherman.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya noted that Belarusians defending the freedom and independence of Belarus can count on the support of the United States. Lukashenka must be held accountable as a war criminal and must not have a seat at the bargaining table.
The US recognizes that the attitude can change only after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Belarus, release and rehabilitation of thousands of convicts in political criminal cases, and a new, fair election.
