A comprehensive solution to the crisis in Belarus requires new and fair presidential elections – and preparations must be made in advance. Therefore on June 1 at 15:00 Sviatlana Tsikahouskaya opens the International Conference «Democratic elections for Resolution of Crisis in Belarus».
On the first day the conference will be addressed by Vice-President of the European Parliament Klara Dobrev, Secretary General of the OSCE PA Roberto Montella, Secretary General of the International IDEA Kevin Casas-Zamora, Pavel Latushka, Olga Kovalkova, Franak Viacorka and other politicians and representatives of democratic forces. The moderator of the conference will be Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Special Representative for elections Aliaksandr Shlyk.
On the second day of the conference, on 2 June, there will be a debate on electoral reform. It will be attended by Head of the CEC of Georgia Tamar Zhvania, Secretary General of the Association of European Election Organisers Zsolt Szolnoki and other election experts.
