Today during a video call with the president of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked Lithuania for support of the Belarusian people and the firm position regarding Lukashenka’s regime.
They discussed recent events in Belarus and the murder of Raman Bandarenka, as well as support to the repressed Belarusians and simplification of migration regulations for them. The discussion also concerned expanding the sanctions and listing enterprises that dismiss employees for their civil position. In particular, Sviatlana spoke about the dismissal of 49 employees of Belaruskali for striking.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also talked about the establishment of the universal jurisdiction center in Lithuania that is engaged in gathering information about the regime's crimes. The president stressed that Lithuania has always supported Belarusian people in their pursuit to fair elections and will now support them in the process of international investigations of crimes against human rights.
