During her visit to Poland to participate in the Warsaw Security Forum, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya expressed solidarity with the Georgian people and support for all those who envision Georgia as a free, independent, and European state. She highlighted the role of civil society and political leaders such as Salome Zourabichvili, who has supported Georgian society during these difficult times. Protests in Georgia have now continued for more than 300 days, with participants regularly facing persecution from the authorities.
President Zourabichvili and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya discussed:
- the challenges facing Belarusians in Georgia;
- cooperation on the international stage;
- the Belarusian experience of building alternative democratic institutions.
