On resistance and the horrors of war
“Every day and every night brings a new barbaric attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure. More victims. Lives destroyed. Families torn apart. Today, Ukraine and Ukrainians are fighting not only for themselves – they are fighting for all of us, for a peaceful Europe, for the entire civilized world. And it is our duty to do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine not only endures but wins!”
On dictators and the language of force
“Let’s not rely on the mercy of dictators. Neither Putin nor Lukashenka wants peace – they want war. War strengthens their regimes and justifies repression. Dictators only understand the language of force. And we must show that force. We must show determination, solidarity, and unity”.
On a shared future
“We have a common enemy – imperialist Russia – and we must resist this enemy together. The regime will not succeed in dividing or turning us against each other. We share a long history of fighting for freedom. And most importantly, our peoples share a common future. A future in a free, peaceful, and democratic Europe. We are walking toward that future – we are fighting for it”.
