Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with Belarusian humanitarian organizations

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya continued her working visit to Poland by meeting with Belarusian humanitarian organizations at the Belarusian Youth Hub in Warsaw. Twelve foundations and associations joined the conversation:

📎 Polish organization HUMANOSH, which also helps Belarusians.

The members of these organizations informed Sviatlana Tikhanouskaya about the focus of their work and the groups of Belarusians that they support and spoke about their flagship projects. The parties analyzed the problems that foundations and organizations face in their work.

The participants also discussed the difficulties of the legalization of stay and adaptation of former political prisoners, as well as problems arising in recognizing political prisoners as such. Additionally, the conversation covered the activities of the working group at the Polish Interior Ministry and the functioning of the international humanitarian fund for the support of Belarusian political prisoners and their families, which was established during Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s visit to Norway.
