In anticipation of Student Day, the Office’s team released a guide covering details of the Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya Scholarship at Management Center Innsbruck, Austria. In October, one of the prestigious universities in Central Europe launched a program allowing Belarusian students to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in more than 10 majors.
Over the past month, a significant number of talented and active young individuals have shown interest in the program. The Office’s team has gathered the most relevant queries and prepared a guide to answer them.

Basic information. This program provides financial support to Belarusian students actively engaged in promoting freedom and democracy. The Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya Scholarship allows Belarusian students to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in over 10 majors at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Austria, at significantly reduced tuition costs.
Eligibility criteria. The scholarship is available to students from Belarus and other Eastern European countries who have not been previously enrolled at MCI and are required to pay the annual tuition fee. Students must actively contribute to promoting the principles of freedom and democracy and demonstrate current or past academic success.
Available majors:
- Bachelor’s: Business and Management; Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Leisure Business.
- Master’s: Biotechnology; Business Psychology and Management; Entrepreneurship and Tourism; International Business and Law; International Health and Social Management, Mechatronics and Smart Technology.
- Executive Master’s: MBA General Management.

Amount of scholarship. The scholarship, amounting to 11,000 euros per year, compensates for a corresponding amount of tuition fees for the first academic year. It cannot be used to cover other expenses such as transportation, accommodation, or personal costs. Students receiving the Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya Scholarship will only have to pay a reduced tuition fee of 1,500 euros per year. Tuition costs for master’s programs may vary.
Terms. The scholarship is awarded for the first year of study based on the results of the selection process. It can be extended based on the student’s further merits.
Deadline for applications. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2024.
