During the ongoing hearing on Belarus in the Subcommittee on Europe of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the United States House of Representatives, the Belarusian leader outlined a series of practical proposals to Congress for supporting democratic Belarus:
- Appointing a US special envoy for democratic Belarus.
- Supporting Belarusians and assisting the families of repressed individuals. Adopting a resolution granting temporary protected status to Belarusians in the US.
- Including Belarus in the economic recovery plan and expanding the project, currently focused on Ukraine and Moldova.
- Supporting the project of the new Belarusian national passport, scheduled for launch in 2024.
- Holding Lukashenka and his accomplices accountable through international courts.
- Recognizing the agreements signed by the dictator Lukashenka with Russia as invalid. Introducing new sanctions against Russia for its unlawful attempts to subjugate Belarus.
