Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's working visit to the United States will begin on Sunday, July 18, in Washington, D.C., with a meeting with the Belarusian diaspora at 13:00 local time on Freedom Plaza.
- At the beginning of the week, Tsikhanouskaya has scheduled high-level meetings in the State Department (Monday, July 19) and the White House (Tuesday, July 10).
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is invited to the opening of the bipartisan Belarusian Caucus in the United States Congress, a group of American congressmen who will work exclusively on the topic of Belarus. This is the first time in the history of Belarus that the United States has provided such support to Belarusians.
- Ms. Tsikhanouskaya will meet with the US House of Representatives senators from the Democratic and Republican parties.
- Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya will also meet with Samantha Power, USAID Administrator, an American international aid agency, will give interviews to the world’s leading media outlets: CNN, MSNBC, Foreign Policy, National Interest, Voice of America and will hold a meeting with the Washington Post editorial board.
