Today, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with the newly-appointed rector of the European Humanities University, Professor Krzysztof Rybiński. Representatives of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Office and the United Transitional Cabinet also attended the meeting.
- The discussions focused on:
— Strengthening the role of the European Humanities University as a university working for the sake of democratic Belarus. This can be achieved through close cooperation with Belarusian civil society organizations, the Office, and the Cabinet. The parties emphasized supporting and developing Belarusian initiatives and projects, internships and educational programs for Belarusians, joint conferences and projects.
— Support for Belarusian students, including additional scholarships, frozen tuition fees and better self-governance.
— Support for Belarusian scientists in exile.
It was noted at the meeting that the European Humanities University could become a platform for preparing the future education reform in Belarus.
