“This morning at 7:30 a.m. the police came to the apartment where political prisoner Ihar Losik's wife Darya and their daughter Paulina were sleeping. Now the three-year-old girl has both her father and mother in prison.
Darya is a woman with incredible stamina and willpower. Every day she showed Ihar and all of us what true love looks like. Every day she showed the kind of courage that those who detained her today could never dream of. I know Darya and I admire her. No matter in what conditions she is held, I'm sure the guards and jailers now have to shamefully look aside when they see this proud, caring, and amazingly brave woman.
Someday Darya and Ihar will both be released from prison and back home with their daughter. And now it is in our power to help Darya, Ihar and their loved ones, as well as the loved ones of thousands of political prisoners. Our support has not lost its importance over these two years! Support political prisoners and their families directly and through solidarity funds.
