Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked the President for supporting democratic Belarus in Moldova, including his involvement in forming a group For Democratic Belarus in the Moldovan parliament, as well as for support at the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly session recently held in Chisinau.
They discussed the current state of affairs in Belarus and Moldova, countering the Kremlin's propaganda, and effective laws for the transition period.
Ms. Tsikhanouskaya called for mutual support on all international platforms (UN, OSCE, Council of Europe), emphasizing that Belarus and Moldova are the major elements in regional security in Europe. She also urged President Grosu to include democratic Belarus in the agenda of the Summit of the European Political Community meeting, which will be held in Chisinau on 1 June.
Mr. Grosu and Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also discussed closer cooperation with the Belarusian diaspora in Moldova.
