Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya: “Freedom, dignity, and the right to be heard belong to every human being, regardless of their citizenship, religion, or place of residence. But in Belarus, the regime is doing everything it can to destroy human rights.
Thousands of Belarusians remain behind bars simply because they dared to be free, to defend their dignity, and to speak out. Among them are human rights defenders who worked every day to protect people and their rights. They are imprisoned solely for their work and principles.
Despite constant pressure and personal risks, they continue to defend human rights, support the families of the imprisoned, and speak the truth to the world. They are the backbone of our shared strength.
Every word of solidarity, every initiative, every voice raised in defense of truth brings closer the moment when all political prisoners will walk free – and no new ones will take their place.
We are the ones who shape our future. I am grateful to everyone who keeps fighting, who is not afraid to support others, and who acts for a future without fear and repression. As long as Belarusians continue this work, no one will be able to stop us”.
