Siarhei Tsikhanouski and 13 more political prisoners have been released in Belarus thanks to the United States’ diplomatic efforts supported by Lithuania.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and her team met the recently released prisoners.
During a gathering later, the democratic leader spoke with them and said: “You are free. I know it’s hard to get used to that. But if you have the strength – join us, because thousands of others are still there”.
Among those present were Siarhei Tsikhanouski, Siarhei Sheleh, Ihar Karnei, Natallia Dulina, and Kiryl Balakhonau.
