Here is an overview of the Movement on April 18.

    Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians

    • The BYSOL Foundation donated 40 kits with equipment, uniforms and shoes formed by the Prague Support Team и Kirill Jakimovič.
    • The Hajun project, which monitors the movements of Russian troops in Belarus, released an operational summary for April 18.
    • Also, the Hajun project reviewed the Belarusian propaganda coverage of the war in Ukraine for the day. Propagandists accused Ukraine of developing nuclear weapons to justify the regime’s actions.

    Awareness campaign

    • The anti-war stream of Ms. Tsikhanouskaya’s Representative Anatoli Liabedzka featured Belarusian screenwriter Andrei Kureichik. They discussed the war in Ukraine and the Anti-War Movement, Lukashenka’s FM’s letters to European diplomats and the collapse of freight traffic on the EU-Belarus border.
    • The Chestnaja Gazeta latest issue explains how the hate speech fueled by the Rwandan state media led to genocide, as well as covers news about the Belarusian economy, features an interview with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, and more. At a time when most Belarusians have no free access to honest media, the underground press is important. Every leaflet and newspaper distributed by the volunteers helps save a Belarusan from television.
    • Other underground press outlets in Belarus also covered the Ukraine war in their new issues.
    • Belarusian Cyberpartisans told about their railway sabotage and attributed the lack of cyber security on some Belarusian enterprises to the outdated WIndows XP.
    • The Honest People initiative continues its campaign to prompt Belarusian officials to speak out on the war in Ukraine. This time, an official from Hrodna expressed his negative attitude to Russian troops in Belarus.
