Yesterday, May 15, Sviatlana Tsikahnouskaya paid a short visit to Denmark, where she met with Denmark’s parliamentary leadership and British MP and former prime minister Liz Truss. She also spoke at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit and gave interviews to Danish and international media.
During the meeting, Danish MPs and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya discussed support for Belarus. Denmark continues to support Belarusian human rights defenders through the International Accountability Platform for Belarus, which collects evidence of Lukashenka's crimes, as well as independent media and Belarusian cultural projects (the Danish Cultural Institute is the key partner of the ArtPower Belarus project coordinated by the Belarusian Council for Culture). They also discussed establishing an informal group of Friends of Belarus in the parliament.
