The Belarusian leader visited the office of the Swiss-German NGO Libereco, where she met with Executive Director Marco Fieber and his team. Libereco actively supports Belarusian political prisoners. Thanks to their campaign, more than 300 MPs from 21 countries have become godparents to imprisoned Belarusians.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked Libereco for their support and emphasized the importance of rehabilitation programs for those who have already been released.
During the meeting, the parties discussed steps to involve more politicians in the solidarity campaign. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya also proposed that symbolic godparents maintain ties with political prisoners after their release.
During the meeting, Libereco representatives and the Belarusian leader also discussed the rehabilitation program for political prisoners who have already been released. Thanks to the program, they can receive the necessary qualified medical and psychological assistance.
