Yesterday, the Belarusian leader spoke at the Junge Union Forum in Braunschweig, Germany, which also featured the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, and other politicians. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya was accompanied by the Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet, Valery Kavaleuski.
“For us, the EU is not only a successful economic power, a leader in innovation, education and social practices. Not only a space without borders, a family with strong ties. The EU is also a safe space for Belarus to preserve its independence and develop its national identity. With Russia – these aspirations are unthinkable. And only when Belarus restores its European family ties, will it become safe as a nation and a state”, noted Ms. Tsikhanouskaya.
The Belarusian leader addressed the youth: “In every political movement, youth is very important. Don’t be afraid to engage. To speak up for the truth. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. In politics, you are learning by doing all the time. What matters is to keep going and to never give up your dream”.
The Belarusian leader also expressed Belarusians' support for Ukraine and Israel.
