Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya joined the campaign launched by the United Transitional Cabinet Representative for Social Issues, Volha Harbunova, to share the stories of politically imprisoned women in Belarus. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya put up posters with the names of Halina Dzerbysh, Katsiaryna Andreyeva, and Marfa Rabkova. She also called Belarusians and foreigners to join the campaign:
“I want to both support this initiative and invite all of you to join in. You can print these posters and hang them up at your workplace, home, or somewhere where it is allowed in your cities. Unfortunately, there are many women who are political prisoners, so you can make your own poster, print it, distribute it, or download one from here.
Hang up posters, tell the stories of politically imprisoned women, and help people find out about them. After all, while they are behind bars, the only voice they have is us.”
The posters are available in Belarusian, English, Lithuanian, and Polish.
