Support for Ukrainians and Belarusians
- Yuliya Yukhno, activist of the association of Belarusians in Italy, spoke at the XIX Congresso confederale della CISL. The event was attended by over 2,000 persons of high standing, including Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. Yuliya spoke about Belarus and Belarusians, their struggle for the freedom of the country and assistance to Ukraine.
- Belarusians held an action of solidarity with political prisoners at the Champions League final.
- Belarusians of Bydgoszcz, Poland, held a rally in support of granting Ukraine EU candidate status.
- In Warsaw, Belarusians gathered for a rally in support of political prisoner Siarhei Tsikhanouski, detained two years ago.
- Pavel Mikhalok, son of the frontman of the Lyapis Trubetskoy Belarusian band, helps restore Ukrainian cities.
- US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke on Belarus: “We stand with Belarusian people today and every day”.
- National leader of Belarus Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya recorded an open letter to her imprisoned husband Siarhei Tsikhanouski.
- Belarusians in Wroclaw and Bialystok, Poland, rallied to demonstrate solidarity with political prisoners.
- Belarusians and Ukrainians of London held a common action in support of Ukraine and against the war.
- Belarusians in Warsaw wove a camouflage net for the Belarusian military volunteers of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment.
- Belarusians in Krakow protested against Russian aggression.
- Belarusian football player Vsevolod Sadovsky signed the Anti-War Declaration of Athletes.
Resistance
- The partisans of Kastsiukouka picketed with an anti-war verse.
- Belarusians distributed stickers in support of Ukraine in their cities and towns.
- Minsk residents painted national flags in their districts.
- Residents of Barauliany protested against the regime.
Sabotage
- The Hajun project, which monitors the movements of Russian troops in Belarus, released an operational summary for May 29.
- Hajun also reviewed the regime's propaganda coverage of the war in Ukraine for May 20. Propagandists exploited the draft law on the special status of Polish citizens, which is now being prepared in Ukraine to reciprocate the similar law in Poland.
Awareness campaign
- A Country to Live in initiative released a video about Siarhei Tsikhanouski, telling more about him and showing what was left behind in the footage of the 2020 election struggle.
- The Belarusski Vestnik new issue tells about real terrorists who seized power in Belarus by force, how the regime turns workers into slaves, and more. Belarusians distribute underground press to share honest information with those who do not have access to free media.
- In an interview to DW, Head of the Cabinet of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's Office Valery Kavaleuski spoke on the Office's assistance to Belarusians in resolving legal issues abroad, unblocking Belarusians' accounts in Ukraine, democratic forces' support for the Belarusian military volunteers, public perception of Belarusians in Ukraine, and the potential meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
