Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and the United Transitional Cabinet Representative for Foreign Affairs, Valery Kavaleuski, met with Melissa Parke to discuss the situation regarding the placement of Russian nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory. Ms. Tsikhanouskaya noted that the threat of nuclear weapons in Belarus goes beyond the country’s national borders.
“Belarusians stand firmly against the placement of nuclear weapons on our territory. We need an international reaction and a proactive policy”, emphasized the Belarusian leader.
The parties condemned the irresponsible and dangerous rhetoric of the regime regarding the use of nuclear weapons.
The meeting also focused on opportunities for cooperation on the international stage, including the discussions of nuclear weapons in Belarus with the UN Security Council and other international organizations.
